As the Partnership grew and developed more projects, it became obvious that it needed to employ additional staff to oversee the day to day running of the organisation and its existing projects, as well as to identify new projects from the community appraisal and see them through to fruition.
The Partnership now employs two part time Development Workers – Rona Hardy and Denise Brooks (both former volunteer Board Members), to fulfil this role. Another part of the role will be to liaise with existing community groups and assist in identifying and setting up new groups together with providing them with ongoing support. They also work closely in partnership with public and private sector organisations. Their positions are funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund.
